About Us:
Founded in early 2026 by local Michael Pelham, Ottery Gaming Club began with a clear mission: to unite gaming enthusiasts throughout Ottery St Mary and the neighboring towns, offering a safe, friendly environment to meet and play against like minded individuals.
Â
What started as a local initiative has blossomed into a vibrant hub, attracting members from all corners of East Devon who share a passion for the hobby.
Our weekly sessions at The Institute provide a casual, welcoming atmosphere right in the center of the village. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive space where both dedicated regulars and occasional visitors can always find a friendly match and a spare seat at the table.
Our venue is well-equipped to host over 20 full-scale tabletop games simultaneously, with additional areas dedicated to smaller setups. For those seeking a more focused experience, we offer private rooms perfect for epic D&D campaigns, or MtG pods.
Whether you are a veteran strategist or just curious about the world of tabletop gaming, we invite you to grab your dice or decks and join our growing community.
Game Systems
At OGC, we have facilities to accommodate a wide range of tabletop gaming systems, with enough terrain, mats and equipment to support several games running simultaneously.
Â
We regularly have the resources available for:
Â
- Warhammer 40,000
- Age of Sigmar
- Spearhead
- Combat Patrol
- Kill Team
- Magic: The Gathering

We also have a small selection of built and ready-to-play starter sets, perfect for newcomers who want to try something new before committing to their own army, game or hobby.
Â
Have a particular game in mind? Let us know what you'd like to play and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Â
If you have your own terrain, gaming mats or other equipment, you're very welcome to bring it along too. This helps make sure there's plenty of everything to go around, especially on busier club nights.
Â
Whether you're a seasoned player or completely new to tabletop gaming, everyone is welcome at OGC!
